About the Opportunity
Bendigo UFS is looking for full-time Pharmacists based in Bendigo, VIC.
Discover flexible schedules working alongside other pharmacists with strong support from our Dispensary Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants, in Bendigo at multiple locations and enjoy flexible shifts and scheduling options (evening shifts are available). We have several opportunities available from Monday to Sunday across the following locations:
- View Street - Government-funded SuperCare pharmacy with extended trading hours and evening nursing service
- Strathfieldsaye and Maiden Gully - Community Care focussed providing a range of pharmacy services including vaccinations
- Hargreaves street - Specialising in dose administration aids & sleep apnoea
- Bridge street - Specialising in pharmacotherapy and IVF services
Supercare Pharmacy is an important health initiative for the Bendigo region and Bendigo UFS is proud to be part of it. The initiative allows our organisation to provide community access to high-quality advice and service during extended trading hours, 7 days a week.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Dispensing medications according to prescriptions
- Directing the dispensing rhythm in collaboration with team members
- Counseling customers on how to use medications and explain other pharmacy services
- Keeping updated on medications, dosages, and side effects
- Supporting Dispensary Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants with customer queries
- Processing PBS, 7CPA and PharmaProgram claims promptly whilst also contributing to staff training and development
- Provide advanced pharmacy professional services within the scope of practice, including but not limited to vaccinations, pharmacist prescribing programs, sleep apnoea, dose administration aids, heart health & wound care

About You
To qualify, you are a registered pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Whilst we value experience, if you are newly registered and have a can-do attitude, we still want to hear from you.
Although we would like you to be qualified in vaccinations and open to pharmacotherapy services, as our ideal candidate, you possess the following skills:
- Expertise in dispensing medications with precision and adherence to quality guidelines
- Strong counselling skills for guiding customers in the use of medications and over-the-counter purchases
- Qualified to deliver services under the Pharmacy Prescribing Pilot
- The ability to collaborate with the Pharmacist team to oversee dispensary workflow
- A commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medications, including usage, dosage, and side effects
- Compliance with the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) standards
- Experience in providing routine pharmacy professional services, including meds checks and complementary sales
